Ingredients

  • 1 large orange peeled and segmented
  • 1 medium grapefruit peeled and segmented
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut water or orange juice
  • 1 small carrot chopped
  • 1- inch piece fresh ginger peeled
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder or 1-inch fresh root
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt or frozen banana for creaminess

Method

  1. Add all ingredients except the sweetener into a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until completely smooth and frothy.
  3. Taste the smoothie and blend in honey or maple syrup if extra sweetness is desired.
  4. Pour into two glasses and serve immediately over ice if preferred.
  5. Garnish with a pinch of turmeric or an orange wheel for a pretty finish.

Notes

  • For a colder, thicker texture, use frozen orange segments or add 1/2 cup of ice.
  • Reduce the grapefruit if you prefer a less tart flavor.
  • This smoothie is best consumed fresh, but it can be stored in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours (shake well before drinking).
  • Swap Greek yogurt for a dairy-free alternative to keep it vegan.
